Welcome to Kielder Primary School and Nursery

We are a very small school in the rural Northumberland village of Kielder, on the Anglo-Scottish border. We are fortunate enough to learn, laugh and play together in one of the most remote and beautiful parts of the country.

Our school may be small but we have huge aspirations for our pupils. Our priority is for each and every child to feel happy, safe and valued for their individual personality, skills and talents. We see it as our core purpose to nurture everyone to fulfil their full potential.

Don't just take our word for it; in our most recent inspection, Ofsted said:

"Pupils in this very small rural school are a delight. They are welcoming and friendly, and want to learn. Pupils are kind and thoughtful. They help each other out in lessons and play together cooperatively at breaktimes. Pupils benefit from positive relationships with compassionate and supportive staff. They trust staff to help them if they have any worries. Pupils are happy in this nurturing school."

We very much welcome visitors; please do not hesitate to contact us should you wish to look around our school. Please also get in touch if you would like a paper copy of any of the information on the website.

I hope you enjoy exploring our website - thank you for stopping by.
