Kielder Primary School is a member of the North Tyne Schools Alliance, alongside:
Greenhaugh Primary School
Otterburn Primary School
Bellingham Primary School
Bellingham Middle School
The alliance is part of a Northumberland County Council initiative that brings together small schools with similar contexts. By working collaboratively, we are able to strengthen provision for our pupils and share expertise across schools.
Through the alliance, we:
share staff expertise and good practice
work together on school improvement priorities
provide wider social and learning opportunities for pupils
enable children to experience learning as part of a larger group
Pupil collaboration As part of this partnership, our pupils visit fellow alliance schools for join learning opportnities, including music, oracy and literacy lessons.
These sessions:
are fully risk assessed and supervised in line with safeguarding procedures
form part of our planned curriculum
enhance and enrich pupils’ learning and social experiences
We believe this partnership helps provide our children with broader opportunities while retaining the close, supportive feel of our small school.
